Sleep analysts believe that dreams encapsulate different aspects of our psyche and circumstances, including our life situations, relationships, and experiences. If this is true, then an awareness of our dreams can help us to understand our thoughts and emotions. Unfortunately, we cannot always remember out dreams, thus hindering our abilities to [earn from them. With the help of this spell, you can enhance your level of dream perception.
Paper and Pen
A piece of plain cotton, about 20x10 inches
White thread and needle
Dried jasmine flowers
One black candle
One white candle
Two silver candles
Record your dreams from recent nights as best you can.
Find out what phase the Moon was in each night – this tells you during which phases you best recall your dreams – and record this information as well. Sew a small pillow from cotton, about 10 x 5 inches (25 x 13cm), and loosely fill it with dried flowers associated with the Moon (see left). On the evening of a new Moon, light one black, one white, and two silver candles to represent the
Moon’s phases: dark, new, waxing, and waning. Place the dream
pillow under your normal pillow and say this spell:
"Flowers of magic, flowers of sleep, Let my moon-dream visions creep into my memory to keep. Show to me in bright day’s light all the adventures of the night. So may it be."
Note every dream you can recall – even fragments – for at least two months. You will find that your memory will begin to improve, and that patterns in your dreams will start to emerge.
